The 2008 edition of Team Eastern Ontario U17 represented the province well finishing with a 2-1 record and a bronze medal placing. A heartbreaking semifinal loss to the eventual champions, Quebec, dashed any hopes of winning the championship but the team finished the tournament strong with their second victory of the tournament over North Alberta in the bronze medal match. The defence was outstanding, as always, leading the tournament in numerous categories including points against and yards against. Team Eastern Ontario returns a number of players in 2009 and will look to improve on their 3rd straight bronze medal.

A number of members of Team Eastern Ontario 2008 were recognized at the tournament for their outstanding play.
