Ontario East claimed the gold medal in the U17 division of the Football Canada Cup 2009. They racked up a 21 point lead at the half and coasted to a 42-7 victory over Alberta South. It was an outstanding game for Ontario quarterback Dallon Kruprowski who threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns plus rushed for 113 yards and scored another two touchdowns on the ground. Alberta South saw their only points on a one yard touchdown plunge from quarterback Cody Dickinson.
