2009 Testimonials

“The u17 program showcases the best talent nationally. It gave me the chance to play against the best players out there and I got recognized nationally from scouts from coast to coast. The best thing about U17 was the fact that the coaches where university coaches. You got one on one time with them in fundamental drills so you can know what coaches wanted and what they where looking for in there players and the practices and film sessions where structured like they are in university program.”

“U17 helped me elevate my game to a level where i could not take myself. I also benefited from having all the great players around me. The things i learned playing with u17 are all skills i use in the level i play at today. Skills you gain from U17 are skills you can use on and off the field.”

“Having always wanted to compete with and against the best football players in Canada I tried out for the Under 17 Eastern Ontario football team. By participating in the Canada Cup I learned invaluable football techniques from coaches who were former CIS players and current CIS coaches. The elite level of play and coaching helped me get ready for the CIS by understanding systems, football techniques and by allowing me to experience a different style of play. Having thoroughly enjoyed playing on the team the experience is priceless and a must for all serious players.”

“The U17 team definitely helped me progress as a player and a person. It prepared me to play at the next level, both physically and mentally. It also got me use to university type systems, and it was a much easier transition to university football. It also got me use to the competition of playing against the best in the country.”

“Hi Lee,
Not sure what you did to this young man (Bruno Cambolo, 2007 player)...we can't get over how much he has improved over last year....it's uncanny! Whatever coaching you and your staff did at U17....great job...and congrats on the bronze!”

“I just want to say thank you Lee for taking my son Jon along to play in the 2007 Canada Cup. It was a great experience for him and he made many new friends. He will take the skills he learned to his high school team (Norwood) in the fall and his experiences from the tournament. Again I thank you very much.”

Steve Darrington …Parent of 2006 and 2007 player Jon Darrington

Hi,

Thank you very much for including Trenton in the U17 tournament (both at Ottawa U and at Bishops)...he told me that he gained a lot of knowledge and enjoyed the whole football experience - on a whole new level. …He made new friends and met & worked with some great coaches. I know he will carry this experience with him and I can already see (since being home) that this has made him more determined to be healthy again, to get back to working out, back to playing football and enthusiastic to work hard in school!

Thanks again,

Kathy…Parent of Player Trenton Haye…2007

Lee,
I just wanted to send along a quick email to congratulate you on a terrific job as the Head Coach for the Eastern Ontario Team. I thought you put together a solid team and I know the kids that I talked to found it to be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Clearly we were the best team and unfortunately we fell short in game one.

Thank you for including me in the coaching staff, I appreciate the opportunity and I also enjoyed the experience a great deal, they were certainly nice kids to coach. I know that you have made many notes during the week with regards to improving the program for next year.
